Steve BonomoVP Global Talent Acquisition
I am a sports enthusiast and a man living his dream job. I started preparing for my career when I first stepped out on the little league field 30 years ago. Little did I know that the lessons I started learning on the little league field would guide me to this point in my career. The key lessons are: hard work pays off, one accomplishes far more working with teammates, and a good coach is critical to deliver successful end results.
After graduating from San Jose State University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, I spent one year as a high school teacher and baseball coach before going to work for a search firm in San Jose, California. My path eventually led to San Diego working for TaylorMade adidas Golf, and then a short hop over to Herzogenaurach, Germany at the adidas Group Global Headquarters.
In Germany, I was responsible for overseeing global talent acquisition for the adidas Group and partnering with HR and recruiting team members in more than 77 countries around the world. In 2011 I had the opportunity to not only impact the recruitment of employees into the organization, but a unique opportunity to also oversee how we manage and develop them once they get into the organization. I am currently responsible for overseeing and building out a global talent acquisition organization with 200 recruiters in more than 50 countries supporting 100+ countries worldwide.
